Yesterday we reported on Apple’s keynote speech at WWDC, looking into the big changes that the tech giant is promising will come with the upgrade from iOS 15 to iOS 16. Today, however, we are going to go a little deeper into one particular Photoshop-like feature coming to Photos, Screenshot, Quick Look and Safari.

iOS 16 Download Now

We know that Photoshop is high on the list of priorities for Softonic users and that one of the main reasons for this is the ability to cut subjects out of photos so that they can be used elsewhere.  Well, this is exactly the feature that Apple is introducing with iOS 16. Furthermore, the feature will be fueled by AI, meaning it will do most of the hard work for you.

The new feature is coming to Apple’s Visual Look Up feature, which allows users to edit and improve the photos they have on their Apple devices. The iOS16 improvement means all you have to do is click on a subject in the photo, which Apple says could be a person, an animal, a bird, or a statue, among others and it will automatically be grabbed from the image. You can then drop this onto another image for example to make a collage, etc. or, as Apple shows off, you can drop these isolated subjects into messages with friends and family.

Quickly editing photos in this manner will be a massive boon for iPhone users who will be able to quickly drag and drop items from photographs that would have previously taken a lot of time and effort on top of a premium image editing app. Once iOS 16 drops you can expect to see lots of these dropping into Message chats and WhatsApp groups.

If you like the sound of this update but don’t want to wait until iOS 16 drops, don’t worry, you’re in luck. We have put together a comprehensive guide to using Photoshop on your iPhone.
